  • Kaitlyn 'Amouranth' Siragusa, a huge star on Twitch and Kick, was attacked in her Houston home.
  • Assailants were driven off in a gunfight.
  • The attempted crypto robbery follows others worldwide.

Four teenagers have been arrested and charged in connection with the violent home invasion of Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, a high-profile streamer and content creator.

The attack, which took place earlier this month, was allegedly an attempt to steal her cryptocurrency holdings, which she had previously disclosed online.

Siragusa has 6.2 million followers on Twitch, the popular gaming streaming platform, and 3.8 million followers on X.

Authorities have charged the suspects, aged 16 to 19, with multiple felony offenses, including aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping.

Gunfight

According to law enforcement, three masked individuals entered Siragusa’s northwest Houston, confronted her in her bedroom, and demanded access to her crypto.

“I thought I was going to die because they kept beating me. They kept saying to me, ‘Where is the crypto? Where is the crypto?’” Siragusa told local news outlet KHOU.

During the altercation, she was pistol-whipped and forced to lead them to another building on the property where her husband, Nick Lee, was located.

Lee then fired multiple gunshots at the intruders, causing them to flee before authorities arrived.

Police believe the attack was premeditated and directly linked to Siragusa’s past statements about her cryptocurrency holdings.

Siragusa publicly showcased her cryptocurrency holdings in a social media post this past November, displaying a Coinbase account balance exceeding $20 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Sell or hold

The post, accompanied by a scantily clad picture, asked her followers whether she should sell or hold.

Siragusa’s case is the latest in a string of violent crimes targeting high-profile crypto holders.

In January, a Ledger hardware wallet executive and his wife were kidnapped in Paris and held for ransom by attackers who cut off one of his fingers.
